Nourished Roots focuses on 3 main aspects of health:
1. Gut Health
Our guts house millions of bacteria that make up our gut microbiome. This microbiome is essential for regulating our immune system, extracting nutrients from and digesting our food, and influencing our hormones and mood. When our guts are out of balance - known as dysbiosis - we can experience a variety of symptoms, including but not limited to: bloating, weight gain, digestive issues, toilet troubles, increased anxiety, and decreased energy and mood. By focusing on how to build the “NOURISHED PLATE,” you will learn how to eat in a way that supports your gut and your mind, stress free!
2. Nervous system regulation
Our nervous system operates automatically, taking information from within our bodies and our environments to determine how we respond. When we experience a stressful situation, or even think about an anxiety-inducing event, our nervous system triggers our brains to go into a stress response. When we’re in a continuous state of stress, it can lead to depression, insomnia, stomach problems, weight gain, and irregular hormones. Fortunately, by understanding how to control this response with the power of our breath, you will learn how to recognize and shift out of stress and into rest with ease.
3. Mindset
The core beliefs that we have about our health, our abilities, and who we are have the ability to shape our overall health. Often shaped by external factors, expectations, adn comparison, we often lose sights of our own desires and happiness in order to fit in. The way we think determines the assumptions we make, the expectations we set, and the things we prioritize. What we take in matters but the way we think about it influences what we pay attention to, what we are motivated to do, and how our bodies respond. By learning to reframe your thoughts, you will think positively about what you do and how you do it.

After the initial free 30-minute info session, you will get 6 private one-on-one coaching sessions every other week for 3 months. You will receive personalized check-ins between sessions.
Sessions are on the same day, at the same time, every other week.
Additional sessions can be added depending on the need!

Though I’ve gone through nutrition schooling, I will never tell you what you “should'' be doing to be healthy. If something makes you feel good, then keep doing it! If something doesn't make you feel good, don't do/eat/be around it. It’s that simple.
